You Can’t Lead Through What You Can’t (or Won't) Name

When things slow down, it’s tempting to adjust the surface:
Change the meeting format
Reassign team roles
Rework the org chart
Those might help. But real issues often live deeper: in culture, clarity, or conviction.

Here’s a framework to pinpoint what’s really driving the slowdown:
You haven’t lost your calling, but you may have lost connection to it. Leaders who operate from responsibility instead of conviction eventually burn out.
Misalignment within your team leads to communication gaps, the erosion of trust, and lack of ownership. When the values you say don’t match what people see, friction rises.

What worked in a last season might be slowing you down now. Your systems should serve your strategy, not strangle it.

Where do I feel the most resistance?
What tough conversations am I avoiding?
What have I tolerated for too long?
If I were starting from scratch, what would I do differently?
These questions won’t just give you answers. They’ll give you traction.
